COVID-19 Virtual Townhall

On Sunday, March 28, 2021, The Columbus (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated sponsored a virtuall COVID-19 Vaccine Townhall meeting to learn the facts about the vaccine and to debunk myths.
This panel discussion covered:
1. How the vaccines were developed and tested for safety and efficacy.
2. Facts, debunk myths, and provide valuable resources from a public health and community lens.
3. The planned phases of the vaccine rollout, its successes and challenges with distribution thus far from the federal and local level and plans in motion to ensure those most impacted by COVID-19 have access to lifesaving preventative measures.
4. How to address the mental health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Black community and the rise of opioid use seen in Ohio during the pandemic.
5. Community questions and concerns about the vaccine.
